HOW TO CHECK FOR REO COMPLIANCE
Why it’s important
If the Steel Reinforcement does not comply with Australian Design Standards then the structure is at risk of failure. All Bar and Mesh must have JASANZ accredited third party processor certification to prove it complies with AS/NZS 4671, AS 3600, AS 5100.5 and AS 2870.
WAS THE REO SUPPLIED BY A SRIA MEMBER?
Yes
No further action required. All SRIA members MUST hold third party processor certification from a JASANZ accredited organisation.
No
Ask the Builder to provide a JASANZ accredited third party processor certification to prove the REO complies.
If the REO doesn’t comply, it comes out.
